OA seeks to coordinate with communities - officials, businesses,
schools and its residents on ensuring food resiliency. Sustainable
food systems begin on the farm and end on your plate as the
consumer. From production, processing, distribution, retail and
consumption, sometimes food needs help along the way.
If
any of these parts is struggling or collapses due to any number of
reasons, the system is vulnerable. We promote projects that
strengthen and sure-up all phases of the system. Projects such as
sustainable community gardens, local farmers markets, rainwater
harvesting, rooftop farming, aquaponics in schools and many more.
